Hello, I just updated my software and tried it out on my 2000 dodge durango. I performed an auto scan. While it was scanning all modules my abs and brake lights illuminated, and my speedometer went dead. I tried to scan it for codes and it wouldn't comunicate. I exited out of the diagnostic session and manually went back into my abs and saw about ten callibration codes, ie. Code 71, 73, 82, 83, etc.

I tested all components and they work correctly, but all of my abs callibration has been erased. I have to take my truck to the dodge dealer and have them install "just-built data".

Has this happened to anyone else.
    Thanks.

Did you try erasing all this codes, do they keep coming back? sounds very strange
though since to change calibration you will actually have to flash this modules eprom.
    Is your abs light on.

I'm also having a problem with the chrysler v4.00 software. When trying to access the
abs module In a 2001 dodge durango I get the error "unknown control unit variant!
    ID:000000"

Note that I get this error with or without the chrysler -16 adapter

Earlier this week on the older version of the software on the same vehicle I had no
issues. I think the software broke ABS support on some vehicles.

Yes that error is mostly do to bad softwate in our tool, this used to happen with the 708
a lot at the begining, I see its back again.

That's comforting to hear. I tried clearing the codes and they would come back
    imediately.
I got it reflashed the next day. The module will function if you manually select it to be
viewed. Mine lost its reference, tire size, and gear ratio calibration.

So, if anyone has this problem, don't panic, you shouldn't have to replace the module.
    Thanks for responding so quickly.,

there should be an option in abs/miscfunction to intialize the module, have you tried it.
